Earth Day 5k Tour: Pittsburgh and the Environment


Join us on Earth Day for a special look into Pittsburgh's revitalization as a green city. From 'hell with the lid off' to hosting the Climate Reality Project in 2017, learn about Pittsburgh's green buildings and local pioneers in environmental issues while enjoying a run through downtown. 


Millvale 5k Tour


Join us for our first tour outside the city limits of Pittsburgh! We've teamed up with the folks at Pittsburgh's new food truck park to showcase the borough of Millvale. From Maxo Vanka's famous murals to the Moose, we'll explore this riverfront neighborhood on a 5k tour. Afterwards, enjoy food from Pittsburgh's new food truck park (not included in price of tour).


South Side Slopes 5k Tour


Venture into the South Side Slopes and Allentown! Work your legs with some uphill running before working your arms with some climbing. We'll start with some uphill (with plenty of breaks along the way), traverse some of the neighborhood's city steps, find some old inclines, and end back at ASCEND for discounted climbing. 


Run ‘n Roll Duathlon Tour


Join Pittsburgh Running Tours and Bike the Burgh Tours on our special Run 'n Roll Duathlon tour! We'll start with a 2 mile running tour of the Strip District to learn about this unique neighborhood where locals shop for produce and black & gold gear and then hop on our bikes for a biking tour into the financial and cultural districts and along the North Shore. Old and new buildings, city squares and public art will turn this run and ride into a unique event full of exciting discoveries of the ‘burgh.

South Side 5k Tour & Brews


Come explore this lively and eclectic Pittsburgh neighborhood, from the waterfront trail to historic Carson Street.  Runners will get the chance to learn about the history of the South Side and its steel mills, as well as a few of the many murals along the way.  Afterwards, enjoy a half sandwich plus beer (or soda and side) at Carson Street Deli. Beer is limited to those participants over 21.


Mexican War Streets 5k Tour & Brews


Spend an afternoon on the North Side! There is plenty of history on the Mexican War Streets route, as well as some new, craft-brewed additions.  After a 5k tour of the Mexican War Streets, Allegheny Commons, and Deutschtown, we'll finish at one of North Side’s breweries, Allegheny City Brewing with a complimentary flight of beer.  This tour is limited to those participants over 21.  


North Side 5k Tour


There is plenty to see on the North Side 5k route. After a 5k tour of the Mexican War Streets, Deutschtown, and Allegheny Commons, we'll finish at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse with a complimentary cocktail. This tour is seasonal and available when the Barrelhouse is open and is limited to those participants over 21.

South Side


Come explore the murals and other public art found in this lively and eclectic Pittsburgh neighborhood.  Runners will get the chance to learn about the history of many of South Side's murals and statues, old and new.  

This tour is stroller-friendly.


Downtown


Come explore the murals and other public art found in historic downtown Pittsburgh.  Runners will get the chance to learn about the many pieces of public art in downtown Pittsburgh.

Downtown 5k Tour


Downtown Pittsburgh (or ‘dahntahn’ as the locals know it) is full of history, from the French and Indian War to the Underground Railroad.  Learn about Fort Pitt, the Diamond Market, and more of Pittsburgh’s fascinating history on this 5k tour.  

This tour is stroller-friendly.


North Shore 5k Tour


From bridges to stadiums to fantastic views of downtown and more, there is plenty to see on the North Shore 5k route.  We make plenty of stops for photo opportunities on this flat, fun route. 


South Side (Flats) 5k Tour

Strip District 5k Tour


Most locals know the Strip District is a great place to get fresh produce and black and gold gear.  It’s also a great place to run and learn about Pittsburgh! On weekends, the Strip is brimming with locals and tourists alike, exploring, shopping, and running!  


Oakland 5k Tour


Oakland is home to Pitt, CMU, and Schenley Park, making it an interesting and energetic neighborhood to run in and explore.  The Oakland route passes through both campuses and the park, and participants will learn about many sites along the way.  

This tour is stroller-friendly.


Lawrenceville 5k Tour


This dynamic Pittsburgh neighborhood, established in 1814, is full of history and character. The run starts with a long uphill, but runners will be rewarded with a nice downhill during the second half of the tour and will learn about many sites along the way. (By request only)
